How to add your print PDFs online

Issuu has long been a popular tool for embedding a digital, interactive copy of your print edition on your website. Now, it’s raising its prices.

Whether you’re looking for a solution to embed your print PDF online for the first time or now looking for a cheaper alternative, we’re here with a few suggestions. But the first thing you need to know is that we do not have a specific product by SNO that’s built for it. That doesn’t mean you can’t make it happen, of course.

Yumpu

Yumpu is our support tech’s favorite suggestion lately. It has similar, easy-to-use tools like Issuu but, at least for now, it still offers a free plan.

Like Issuu, the setup to produce your digital copy involves uploading PDFs as an issue and using an embed code to display it on your website. Once you have that embed code, you copy and paste it into a SNO Embed Code widget.

The cheapest plan that lets you embed a digital copy of your print edition on a website is $19 per month. It’s a bummer, we’re sure, but it is nonetheless still a good option if you can afford it.

Embedly

Our tech also likes Embedly, which will not enable you to embed an interactive digital copy but it will set you up to embed a teaser that links to your interactive PDF — whether it be on Issuu or Yumpu or somewhere else online entirely.

However, Embedly is not free. Noticing a trend?
