Meet the SNO Patrol: Lindsay

Meet the SNO Patrol

If you’ve been following along with our recent “Meet the SNO Patrol” reports, the title of this one may have you doing a double take. Meet Lindsay? But didn’t we already meet her?

Last month, we introduced you to Lyndsay (with a Y) Hetzel – our technical support specialist. This month, you’ll meet Lindsay (with an I) McCord – the brains behind our billing department. Sometimes, when we’re feeling extra creative, we refer to her as “billing Lindsay.”

Two different specialities. Two different spellings. But we think they’re both pretty awesome. Get to know our “other” Lindsay below, and don’t forget that you can come meet the SNO Patrol in person this April at the National High School Journalism Convention in Minneapolis. We hope to see you there!

Meet Lindsay McCord

Q: How many years have you worked at SNO?

A: 11 years

Q: What is your position and what do you do at SNO?

A: Bookkeeper. I handle finance-related items for SNO from paying the bills to managing the money coming in. I am also the one that receives the purchase orders sent in to be processed. Just think $$$.

Q: What did you do before you worked at SNO?

A: Worked in Internal Audit and Treasury at Target Corporation

Q: Since you’re the SNO billing expert, what’s one thing you wish people knew about billing?

A: The one thing I wish everyone knew about billing is that we appreciate updates on payments. If you are receiving an invoice from us, it means we have not received payment from you. We love when you are able to let us know if and when the payment was mailed or send us the purchase order if you have not done so.  We are always happy to make notes on your account so that we can monitor when the payment will arrive.

Q: Where did you go to high school?

A: Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minnesota

Q: Where did you go to college?

A: Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A: I absolutely love Pilates, traveling near and far, and consuming good wines from different locales. I am also a huge MN Gopher hockey fan!

Q: What’s one interesting story about yourself?

A: I love numbers and spreadsheets. Give me any project that you need done that involves those two things, and I can make it beautiful!

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in the Twin Cities?

A: I enjoy walking and and hiking around all of the parks and lakes.  There is no shortage of beautiful outdoor places to enjoy!  One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go to the St. Paul Saints baseball games – they never disappoint with their fun baseball, entertainment and great selection of food and drinks.
