Meet Ann Eidem, the newest member of the SNO Patrol
SNO Sites is excited to welcome Ann Eidem to the SNO Patrol as our newest Education and Training Specialist, a key role in our customer support team.
Ann brings a unique blend of experience, classroom perspective, and a genuine passion for student media, making her a natural fit to support the journalists and advisers we work with every day.
Ann’s connection to journalism started early. As a high school student, she served as an editor for her school newspaper, which was published in her small town’s weekly paper. She continued writing in college, where she also got an early introduction to web publishing, learning basic coding for what was then a brand-new concept: the World Wide Web (thanks, Al Gore!).
Ann earned a Master’s in Library & Information Science and spent ten years as a school librarian. Most recently, Ann took a detour to Kona, Hawaii, where she ran a pair of small hotels, an experience she describes as a fun adventure, but one that ultimately reinforced her desire to return to education.
At SNO, Ann will be working closely with students and advisers as she ramps up into her role, bringing a fresh perspective as both an educator and a new learner of the SNO platform.
Outside of work, Ann enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible — walking or hiking for hours when she can — and is currently working on developing a green thumb. She also enjoys reading and staying connected with her extended family.
And one fun fact: during college, Ann spent a summer getting paid to drive a team of draft horses pulling a covered wagon.
We’re thrilled to have Ann on board and can’t wait for you all to get to know her.
