Happy (almost) New Year!

As the holiday season winds down and we inch closer to the New Year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the past year’s accomplishments. Fueled by your support (and more than a few daily cups of coffee), this past year was filled with many exciting moments worth celebrating here at SNO Sites.

With 2025 just around the corner, we’re excited to share a snapshot of some of the numbers that defined our year in 2024. These stats aren’t just data points, and they don’t just reflect our efforts — they’re also a testament to the incredible hard work and dedication that you and your staff have put in throughout the year. So, please join us in looking back at the past year, toasting to an even brighter one ahead, and giving yourself (and your staff) a big pat on the back for another fantastic year of online publishing!

Over the past 12 months, we have: 

  • Received 286,000 pageviews on snosites.com and 469,000 pageviews on bestofsno.com

  • Maintained a total server uptime of 99.99% 

  • Managed 10.6 terabytes of student journalism

  • Stored 23.5 terabytes of website backups

  • Served approximately 15,309 support tickets

  • Published roughly 2,400 Best of SNO submissions 

  • Recognized around 75 SNO Distinguished Sites

  • Conducted approximately 600 trainings, demos, and webinars

  • Facilitated nine workshop sessions for over 150 attendees 

  • Supported 11,816 active FLOW users

  • Stored 60,093 stories created on FLOW

  • Had over 35,000 downloads for the Student News Source and College News Source apps

  • Sold 396 ads through the SNO Ads network

  • Processed 1,751 donations through SNO Donate
