What is the schedule like for each day?
Our in-person Adviser Academy is organized around travel, which is why it’s scheduled Tuesday to Thursday. Use Monday before your workshop to travel to the city. From there, we’ll get started by 9 a.m. each day and wrap by 4 p.m. (except on Thursday).
On Thursday, we will be done by noon, giving you ample time to travel home that afternoon or whenever it is that you want to end your stay.
Our virtual sessions are split into three half-days.
For morning sessions, we will begin each day at 9 a.m. CST and conclude around 12 p.m.
For afternoon sessions, we will begin each day at 1 p.m. CST and conclude around 4 p.m.
What’s the difference between Beginner and Advanced? (virtual)
In the Beginner session, we will start with the very basics: logging in, adding users, publishing stories, etc. This session is great for new advisers or clients new to the SNO platform.
On the other hand, the Advanced session will provide a brief overview of the basics but focus more time on design and other higher-level tools such as analytics, social media strategies, etc. This session is for advisers who have mastered the basics and would like to explore more.
What materials do I need?
Come prepared with something to take notes on and a laptop and power cord. We’ll cover a lot of ground and devote a lot of time to working hands-on with your own website. For in-person sessions, we’ll provide the WiFi in house.
Our trainers will send you an additional list of things to think about or prepare beforehand.
What should I do to prepare before my session?
Preparing anything beforehand is not necessary, but here are a few things you may want to think about ahead of time to maximize your Adviser Academy experience.
Is there an itinerary I could show my principal?
We’re glad you asked! Here is a general overview we put together, outlining some of what we’ll be talking about during the workshop. (Click for PDF)
Can I earn professional development credits for this?
You bet! We’ll be providing 17 hours of training at the in-person workshop (9 for the virtual workshop) and send you home with a certificate as evidence that you made it through successfully.
All fees are due by May 1 to secure your spot.
Registration fees are non-refundable after May 1.
